This app helps barn owners manage resources for horses and other animals.

How do I create a new account?

To create an account, open the app and select "Create account." Enter your email address, set a password, and create your employer profile.

Can I use the app on multiple devices?

Yes, the app supports synchronization on your phone as well as on the web via app.barntribe.com. Just log in with your account on each device to access your data.

Is my data secure?

Your data is encrypted and stored securely. The app follows best practices to protect your information.

How do I reset my password?

If you paid through Stripe, cancel your subscription through Stripe. If you subscribed through Apple or Google Play, cancel through your app store subscription settings. You may also email support@barntribe.com for assistance.

How do I post a job?

In the "Looking for Help?" box, select "Post Job." You will have the option to post a barn sitting job, part-time job, or full-time job. For a part-time or full-time job, fill out the form with as many details as possible.

When will my job posting be visible?

Your job posting will be visible to applicants immediately.

How do I know if a job applicant is interested in my job posting?

You will receive an email notification. When you log in, the home screen will display job applicants who are interested in your posting in the top box. Messages will also be displayed in the same location.

How do I search for job applicants?

Under the "Looking for Help" box, select "Find Workers." The default search range for workers is within 100 miles of your location. To refine your search, select "Open Filters" and enter your criteria.

How do I contact a job applicant?

Select "Send Message" on the job applicant's profile.

How do I leave feedback on a job applicant?

Go to the job applicant's profile and select "Leave Review" at the bottom of the screen.

How do I contact a vendor?

Go to the vendor's profile and select "Send Message."

How do I leave feedback on a vendor?

Go to the vendor's profile and select "Leave Review" at the top of the screen.

How does the background check work?

Workers and barn sitters have the option to obtain a background check badge, which will be displayed on their profile.

How do employers find my information?

Once you set up your account and complete your profile, your information will be visible to employers in the search engine.

How do I search for open positions?

Under "Looking for Work," select "Full & Part-Time Positions." Open positions within the default 100-mile range will appear. To refine your search, select "Open Filters."

How do I apply for an open position?

Select "Apply" at the top of each position.

How do I contact an employer with questions about an open position?

Once you apply for the position, the barn owner/employer will initiate the conversation.

How do I remove my information?

Go to your profile and turn off the toggle switch for part-time, full-time, or barn sitting. This will remove your information from search results. To make your profile active again, turn the applicable toggle back on.

What is the background check badge?

Background checks are optional. You can get a background check through Checkr for a $75 fee. Having the background check badge may help your application stand out, as employers are likely to review your information first.

How do I obtain the background check badge?

Select the background verified button on your profile screen. You will be directed to Stripe for a one-time payment of $75.00. After payment, Checkr will invite you to complete your information. Once processed, BarnTribe will confirm your background check, and your "background verified badge" will appear in your profile.

Barn Sitter

What is this app used for?

This app helps you find barn sitting jobs in your specified area.

How do I create a new account?

To create an account, open the app and select "Create account." Enter your email address, and follow the instructions to complete your profile. You will also need to set up a Stripe account to receive payment for your barn sitting jobs.

Can I use the app on multiple devices?

Yes, the app supports synchronization on your phone as well as on the web via app.barntribe.com. Just log in with your account on each device to access your data.

Do you set the barn sitting fees?

No, you set your own fees and can negotiate rates with the barn owner.

How do I get notified of a job?

Once the barn owner agrees to your fees, they can book you for the specified time. You will receive an email notification that the booking has been requested, and you can accept or decline the job.

Can I customize my rates based on the job?

Once you receive a booking request, you can select "Customize Rate." Enter the details explaining the reason for the customized rate. The barn owner will receive your customized rate request and can accept or decline it.

Will I receive a notification before a job begins?

Yes, you will receive a notification 48 hours before the job begins.

How and when do I get paid for the job?

Forty-eight hours after the job is completed, the agreed-upon fee, less the 15% service charge, will be transferred directly to the Stripe account you set up.

How do barn owners find my information?

Once you set up your account and list your information, it will be available to barn owners in your specified area.

Set up an account with your information. Once your account is complete, you can search for barn sitters in your area by selecting the "Find a Barn Sitter" button.

What is the cost?

You are charged an $18.00 monthly subscription fee. For a barn sitting job, the barn sitter lists their specific fees on their profile.

How do I pay the barn sitter?

Payments are held in escrow via a secured account through Stripe forty-eight hours before the job begins. Forty-eight hours after the job is complete, the escrow payment will be released to the barn sitter.

How do I get notified that a barn sitter accepted my request?

Once the barn sitter agrees to your dates, you will receive an email notification that the booking is accepted. The barn sitter has the option to customize the rate. You may receive a custom rate request, which you can accept or decline.

Do you do a background check on barn sitters?

Barn sitters have the option to obtain a background check badge, which will be displayed on their profile. We encourage you to obtain and verify references from the Sitter.

How do I modify a booked service?

Your account is charged 48 hours before the barn sitting job begins, and the payment is held in escrow until the job is completed. To modify the booking before payment is processed, open your barn sitting post and select "Edit" at the top of the page. If payment has already been processed, please contact support@barntribe.com.
